We're looking for a design engineer with 3+ years of experience spanning both design and front-end development. Your portfolio should demonstrate strength in both disciplines the ability to craft beautiful designs and translate them into clean, functional code.
You're proficient in modern JavaScript frameworks like React or Vue, and equally comfortable working in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD. A solid foundation in HTML, CSS, and modern web standards is essential, as is knowledge of responsive design and accessibility principles.
You have the skill to implement designs with pixel-perfect fidelity while maintaining excellent performance. Strong collaboration skills enable you to work effectively with both designers and engineers. A Bachelor's degree in Design, Computer Science, or equivalent experience is expected.
Responsibilities
As a Design Engineer, you'll collaborate closely with designers to deeply understand design intent and bring it to life in code. You'll develop and maintain our design system component library, ensuring consistency and efficiency across the product.
Your day-to-day involves building responsive, accessible user interfaces from design specifications. During the design process, you'll participate in reviews and provide valuable technical feasibility input. You'll create interactive prototypes to validate design concepts before full implementation.
Optimizing front-end performance and ensuring engineering best practices will be ongoing responsibilities.
You'll serve as a bridge between design and engineering teams, facilitate communication, and contribute to documentation and coding standards. As you grow in the role, you'll mentor junior team members on effective design-engineering collaboration.
